Promoting the Work of 48 Social Justice Focused Organizations

After several members of STRATIS leadership announced that they would match employees' donations to organizations that support social justice causes, the company redistributed over $27,000 to 48 organizations. These organizations are listed below with a short summary of the important work they do. STRATIS is humbled to support them in this way.

  • Austin Justice Coalition: Austin Justice Coalition (AJC) is a community organization that serves as a catalyst for positive change towards economic and racial equity for Austin’s Black, Brown, and poor residents by developing, organizing, and providing robust programs and events.
  • Bailout NYC: A New York-based community bail fund that is now redistributing to bail funds across the country.
  • Baltimore Action Legal Team: Baltimore Action Legal Team (BALT) promotes politically-conscious lawyering to support the Movement for Black Lives in Baltimore.
  • Baltimore Racial Justice Team: Baltimore Racial Justice Team provides racial justice educational events for individuals, groups, and organizations.
  • Black Earth Farms: Black Earth Farms is a Black and Indigenous-led agroecology collective that grows, harvests, and delivers nutrient-dense and chemical-free food to low-income communities experiencing food apartheid. 
  • Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective: Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM) removes barriers that Black people experience in seeking emotional healthcare and healing through education, training, advocacy, and creative arts.
  • Black Lives Matter Cleveland: The Cleveland chapter of Black Lives Matter.
  • Black Lives Matter DC Legal Support Fund: Though DC does not have cash bail, this fundraiser went towards other legal support fees for protestors under arrest. (fundraiser now closed)
  • Black Lives Matter Global Network: Black Lives Matter Foundation’s mission is to center Black joy by eradicating white supremacy and building local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. 
  • Black Lives Matter Philly: The Philadelphia chapter of Black Lives Matter.
  • Black Trans Travel Fund: The Black Trans Travel Fund provides Black trans women with the financial resources to access their safest travel options.
  • Black Visions Collective: The Black Visions Collective is a Minnesota-based group that centers their work on healing and transformative justice principles to develop Minnesota’s emerging Black leadership.
  • Brave Space Alliance: The Brave Space Alliance is the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ center on the south side of Chicago. 
  • Brooklyn Community Bail Fund: A community bail fund committed to challenging wealth-based detention in all forms, based in Brooklyn.
  • BTFA Collective: The Black Trans Femmes in the Arts (BTFA) Collective creates spaces for Black trans people in the arts and beyond.
  • Coded by Kids: Coded by Kids is a Philadelphia-based tech education nonprofit that provides entrepreneurship programs for young people from underrepresented groups.
  • Columbus Freedom Fund: A community bail fund based in Columbus, that is centered on Black liberation and freedom.
  • Community Bail Funds: Split a donation between 70+ community bail funds, mutual aid funds, and racial justice organizers. 
  • Detroit Justice Center: Detroit Justice Center is a law firm that practices community lawyering, which is rooted in defensive and offensive fights for racial justice and economic equity.
  • Families for Justice as Healing: Families for Justice as Healing is led by incarcerated women, formerly incarcerated women, and women with incarcerated loved ones, and it leads advocacy to decarcerate women and girls in Massachusetts.
  • FANG Community Bail Fund: The FANG Collective is comprised of organizers and frontline community members in New England to fight against state-sponsored violence, hate crimes, and fracking.
  • Kansas City Community Bail Fund: A community bail fund in Kansas City.
  • LGBTQ Freedom Fund: The Freedom Fund posts bail of LGBTP people held in jail or immigration detention and offers HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention services. 
  • Marsha P. Johnson Institute: The Marsha P. Johnson Institute organizes, advocates, and creates an intentional community for healing, developing transformative leadership, and promoting collective power for Black trans people.
  • Massachusetts Bail Fund: A community bail fund for people in Essex, Suffolk, and Worcester Counties in Massachusetts.
  • MIGIZI: MIGIZI supports Native American youth in their success economically, educationally, socially, and culturally.
  • Minnesota Freedom Fund: A community bail fund that serves Minnesota.
  • Morris Home Fund: The Morris Home is the only residential recovery program in the country to offer comprehensive services for trans and gender non-conforming people.
  • Muslim Justice League: Muslim Justice League (MJL) organizes and advocates for communities whose rights are threatened under American surveillance and policing.
  • NAACP: The NAACP was founded in response to ongoing violence against Black people around the country, and works to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all people.
  • National Center for Transgender Equality: The National Center for Transgender Equality provides a powerful transgender advocacy presence in DC.
  • People’s Breakfast Oakland: People’s Breakfast Oakland serves the houseless community by providing food, clothing, and hygiene packs.
  • Philadelphia Bail Fund: A community bail fund in Philadelphia that advocates for the end to cash bail. 
  • Philadelphia Black Giving Circle: The Philadelphia Black Giving Circle leverages collective resources from donors to support Black-led non-profits that support the Black community. 
  • Philadelphia Futures: Philadelphia Futures provides Philadelphia’s low-income, first-generation-to-college students with the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary for admission to and success in college.
  • Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada: The Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada is a coalition of 30+ member groups throughout Nevada to make it a more socially and environmentally just state.
  • Reclaim the Block Minnesota: Reclaim the Block organizes Minneapolis community and city council members to move money away from the police department into other areas of the city’s budget that truly promotes community health and safety.
  • Ruth Ellis Center: The Ruth Ellis Center provides trauma-informed services for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, especially young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involvement in the child welfare system, and/or barriers to health and wellbeing.
  • Survived and Punished: Survived and Punished is a coalition of defense campaigns and grassroots groups committed to eradicating the criminalization of survivors of domestic and sexual violence and the culture of violence that contributes to it.
  • TGI Justice Project: TGI Justice Project works to challenge and end human rights abuses committed against transgender, gender-variant, and intersex people in California prisons, jails, detention centers, and beyond.
  • The Attic Youth Center: The Attic is Philadelphia’s only independent LGBTQ youth center.
  • The Bail Project: The Bail Project supports low-income individuals with free bail assistance through the National Revolving Bail Fund. 
  • The Enterprise Center’s Support 52nd Street Fund: The Enterprise Center Community Development Corporation supported 52nd Street businesses that suffered damage and losses with unrestricted grants for immediate relief.
  • Trans Justice Funding Project: The Trans Justice Funding Project is a community-led funding initiative that supports trans justice groups run by and for trans people.
  • Trans Women of Color Collective: The Trans Women of Color Collective builds a network of trans, non-binary Black and people of color by sharing and cultivating projects for and by them.
  • Transgender District: The Transgender District in San Francisco is the first legally recognized transgender district in the world.
  • Urban Tree Connection: The Urban Tree connection is a community-based organization that develops and sustains community-driven greening and gardening projects in West Philadelphia.
  • YWCA of Delaware: YWCA Delaware works to eliminate racism and empower women through offering support around housing, youth development, economic advancement, and more.
